Wool felt

Wool felt is a traditional material in the history of civilisation.

Even though the methods to produce wool felt have been refined over the centuries, the manufacturing principle and the basic raw materials have remained unchanged.

Sheep´s wool or wool fibres are continuously felted and compacted by moisture, heat and friction until a homogenous fabric is formed, namely wool felt.

To fulfil specific requirements and uses, wool felt can be producted in different degrees of hardness ranging from as soft as wadding to as hard as wood. Wool felt is a natural product.

Since wool felt is made of sheep´s wool and viscous staple fibres, this means that after the felt product has been used or become worn out it can be disposed of in an environment friendly manner.
